About Us

Prince William Family Counseling (PWFC) is the largest private outpatient psychological practice in Prince William County. With over 30 licensed clinicians practicing in two Manassas offices and one Woodbridge office, patients of all ages and mental health states are assisted.

Traditional Counseling Services

Individual, couples and family counseling sessions are offered to meet most any mental health need. Evening appointments are available. Experienced therapists are available to assist with:

Specialty Programs

In addition to traditional counseling services, Prince William Family Counseling offers several specialty programs, including four state licensed specialty programs. With over 40 clinicians between them and funded through Medicaid and local government support (i.e. FAPT teams), Prince William Counseling - along with its' partner organizations - is leading the way toward an emotionally healthier community.

• Social Achievers - A social skills program for children and teens with special emphasis in developing empathy towards others, classroom skills and overall discipline.
• Anger Management - Helping children, teens and adults manage emotional outbreaks.
• Adult Intensive Outpatient Substance Abuse Program (IOP) - State licensed.
• Adolescent Intensive Outpatient Substance Abuse (IOP) - State licensed.
• Virginia Support Services, P.C. - Provides in-home daily living skills training while promoting the welfare of the chronic psychiatrically disordered. State licensed.
• Virginia Home Based Counseling, P.C. - Intensive In-Home Counseling program for children and adolescents. State licensed.

Insurance Coverage & Payment

Payments without Health Insurance: Payment is expected at the time services are rendered. A low-fee self-pay counseling program exists for those without insurance coverage.

Patients with Health Insurance: Co-pays are collected when you check in for your visit and must be paid at that time. Please contact us to inquire if you are unsure of your insurance coverage. A low-fee self-pay counseling program exists for those whose insurance coverage does not cover mental health services.

Prince William Family Counseling has individual and facility contracts with all major and many smaller insurance companies, including but not limited to the following:

Referrals

Should a treatment require medication management, Prince William Family Counseling therapists are able to provide referrals externally to the medical professional of your designation.
